Founded by Ngaire Reid in October 1996, we are a truly independent field company. We offer a wide range of quality services to the New Zealand and overseas market research industries, as well as central and local government departments.
One of the factors affecting the quality of a market research project is, to a great extent, the quality of the fieldwork. Only accurate, unbiased data can truly reflect the attitudes and behaviours of the population.
Ngaire Reid
Director
Originally a trained teacher with fifteen years’ experience, Ngaire then moved into Sales Management roles. Prior to starting Reid Research Services Limited in October, 1996, Ngaire worked for 10 years as National Field Manager for Heylen Research Centre and 18 months in the same role for the ACNielsen group of companies.

She was Executive Secretary of the Market Research Society of New Zealand (Auckland branch) from 1985 to 1987.

In 2006, Ngaire was made a Fellow of the Market Research Society of New Zealand, in recognition of her contribution to the industry.
I love the market research industry and bring that enthusiasm to both my staff and our clients. My real challenge has been to develop a company identity which my staff respect, our clients are attracted to and our competitors admire.
After many years working in market research, I know all the tricks and traps.
We may not be the cheapest, but we’re very cost effective as we do provide data you can have 100% confidence in - the “right” data.
Jennie Dear
National Field Manager
Jennie worked as the Area Field Manager for Ngaire and Heylen Research Centre for three years, in Dunedin. She has had various other roles in sales and management in other industry sectors. In 2001 she moved to Auckland to assume the role of National Field Manager for Reid Research Services. Jennie also Project Manages some of our surveys.
I really enjoy the diversity of projects and their associated challenges; the quality, energy and variety of the people involved; and the continuing technological changes which enable us to complete our fieldwork to the highest standard for our diverse range of clients.
Michelle Spencer
National Surveys Manager
Michelle has worked for Reid Research since its inception in 1996. She has been the Manager of one of our Door to Door interviewing teams, a CATI Supervisor and Manager and has been in her current role of National Surveys Manager since 2004.
I’m proud to work at Reid Research where our experienced team work together to provide top quality fieldwork. We maximise our knowledge and resources to be innovative and always provide the best possible service and data to our clients.
Akansha Maharaj
Project Manager
A qualified teacher, Akansha commenced working for Reid Research Services as a CATI interviewer, but because of her obvious ability was very quickly promoted to a Supervisor. She then moved to two years’ work as an Executive Assistant and since 2007 has been promoted to a Project Manager.

Pauline Schmidt
Executive Assistant
Pauline has been with us since 2004. She has done everything - Interviewing, Coding, Data Entry, Sampling, Supervising, Project Managing and Data Processing. Her breadth of knowledge makes her a very flexible member of our team.
I get great enjoyment from working at Reid Research as, aside from the work which I really enjoy, the staff are like family. They’re always there for you - just as they are for our clients - really taking care of both our workmates and our clients’ best interests.
Sina Iupati
DP, Coding and Data Entry Manager
Sina initially worked in our CATI department but since 2004 she has been in charge of our Data Processing team. She manages the use of Surveycraft and Altafx software, as well as having responsibility for our Coding and Data Entry Departments.
We work in an awesomely supportive team environment, producing top quality data for our clients. My job is great – challenging – really keeps me on my toes.
Trish Williams
Administration
Trish has been with us for three years, controlling all our administrative functions - from payroll, to purchasing, to reception and everything in between.
I like working under pressure so I enjoy the challenges each project brings and also being part of an energetic team working towards efficiently producing excellent data.
Paddy (Jenny) Dennis
Administration
Like Trish, Paddy looks after all our organisational details. She has been with us for two years.
